About your Guide - Sonja Semion
Sonja Semion’s love of food was first inspired in her grandmother’s kitchen. Here she learned the magic of opening cookie jars filled with homemade baked goods, a childhood that inspired her to work as a professional baker for six years.
However, as she began to study the principles of Ayurveda and holistic nutrition, her love for baking sweets took a back seat to focusing on her health. But after giving birth to her daughter (and while finalizing her Ayurvedic Health Counselor certification) Sonja became inspired to integrate the pleasure of sweet treats with her love of balanced health.
After years of study and practice (and many failed experiments) Sonja developed a simple and effective way to apply the principles of Ayurvedic ahar (diet) into her love of baking. She now regularly fills her own cookie jars with homemade treats that her six-year-old daughter proclaims to be better than anything store bought.
Sonja is a writer and a healer who regularly posts Ayurveda-inspired recipes and other musings on the bliss of befriending your body at yourbodystory.com. Sign up there for her details on her upcoming course, Taste: Toward a Palate of Pleasure.
