There is Sleep and there is Yogic Sleep
October 24th | 5pm CET
Live session - recorded
Yoga Nidra is loosely translated as Yogic Sleep, but it is not ordinary, biological, sleep. While ordinary sleep is static, Yoga Nidra is dynamic; it’s a potent form of meditation, traditionally performed lying down, that guides you into a deep state of Oneness whilst remaining alert and conscious.
In this workshop you will learn:
- The difference between savasana and Yoga Nidra
- The relationship between Yoga Nidra and the five Koshas
(layers of ourselves)
- The relationship between Yoga Nidra and Ayurveda (Vata season)
- How to skillfully use a Sankalpa (Intention) in your practice
- The nature of Samskaras (imprints, inner scars) and how Yoga Nidra neutralizes them
- How this practice can specifically benefit teachers of yoga.
