The term Somatic means ‘embodied’ or ‘of the body’. Yoga is a somatic practice, but often it is offered and practiced in a way that doesn’t lead to embodiment. A somatic yoga practice produces wonder and invites us to explore our internal state and to experience the body as a sacred temple.

The body-mind connection is designed to organize our nervous system in order to heal from intense or extreme experiences. Our nervous system allows us to build protective sheaths, sense our environment and restore our physiology.

 

Yoga somatics helps us to establish a set of practices that respond to your current internal states and help alleviate stress, fatigue and anxiety. These practices are based on awareness, exploration and re-organzation of the internal systems.

Suzanne has spent over three decades deeply immersed into the teachings and methodologies of yoga, psychology, meditation, contemplation & energy healing.

She is a lover of education & learning and is a teacher's-teacher. Suzanne has worked therapeutically and as an educator in conventional medical systems, schools systems, integrative health clinics and privately with various populations, including addictions, cancer, professional athletes and children.
